  • Let me share to you a great vegan blog. For me it's the best Vegan Blog I've seen so far. It's Healthy Happy Life by Kathy Patalsky.

HHL (Healthy Happy Life) features her very own delicious mouth watering vegan recipes, food photography (great great food pictures sure to make you drool the whole day, make you dash to your kitchen right away and try her recipes) , her life lessons, and wellness tips.

I simply love the way she blog about her newly created vegan recipes. Instructions are presented in very conversational tone, very easy to follow, and very detailed with step by step pictures. Her food pictures are simply amazing. And if you need to hire a professional passionate food photographer, you should contact her.

You can find a lot of great recipes from her Vegan blog, from Drinks, Smoothies, Veggie Sides and Salads, Fruit Sides and Salads ,Sandwiches, Pitas, Desserts, Sweets, Dips, Snacks, Sauces, Breakfast, Soups ,Breads ,Entertaining Appetizers,Kid-Friendly foods... (you name it).

My favorites, her Veggie Sides and Big Salads Recipes are all to die for. I specially drool over her recipes with spinach on them.

She would often stress out in her posts about the importance of kids being aware of healthy eating habits. So moms, you should make it a habit of visiting her blog every morning and check out her super healthy vegan recipes that are sure your kids will love.

I can simply say she should have her own show on television, showcasing her creativeness on healthy vegan recipes, like that of Rachel Ray's.

Healthy Happy Life's Facebook page is worth following. :-)

I still have a lot to learn about SEO

  • Ok, here's how the story goes...

I'm a poor girl trying to copy the gurus in terms of earning money online. You see, I managed to make my first ever inspired created site (it's about fruit smoothies, first launched in 2005!) first in the Yahoo Search. If you wan't proof, type the keywords "free healthy fruit smoothies" in Yahoo search, I'm on the No.1 spot (Free Healthy Fruit Smoothies).

So i copied the gurus, followed the advices, like, first: I researched on about the keyword i want to optimize because they said I shouldn't pick a keyword right away just because it gets millions of searches everyday, because the more popular a keyword is, the more competition you have with that keyword.

Another advice was to pick a long keyword with less competition. That's why I ended up with that long title: free healthy fruit smoothies. Plus they said to include the word "free" because most people tend to include the "free" keyword in their searches. Then I made the site user friendly, like, it should be easy for the visitors to navigate the site. I think I have achieved that because I got a lot of feed backs that they like the way my site was designed for easy navigation. I also followed the rule "don't use popups", because those will just annoy your visitors and will just make them leave your site.

Then, get lots of links. I've been doing that for 5 years now and i got fair enough links with the anchor tag "free healthy fruit smoothie recipes". I sent emails to related sites asking for link exchanges. I also joined social network sites like tag, digg, myspace (there was no facebook back then, but I'm now using it to get more audience) etc. etc. Then I placed Adsense ads so I could earn money. I also optimized the ads (best ads placement as they call it, and don't stop experimenting), just like what the gurus said.

Well my point is now that I already had my fruit smoothie site at the top of the Yahoo Search engine, (also in MSN), for 5 years now, why am I still not earning at least a dollar a day in Adsense? With Google? Well my site needs to be 10 years or more to get to the top (that's how Google works, right? Their priority are the older sites that have lots of links linking to other related sites, because if your site suddenly has lots of links with other sites, it gets sand boxed by Google! And worse if your blog is being hosted through blogger, your blog will be marked as spam and will be deleted, so all your hard work no matter how long you've been keeping that blog alive, will be lost).

Back to my point... Imagine that! First spot at Yahoo and MSN, still not earning a dollar? Actually I'm only earning $0.15 a day in adsense, consistently. Not bad for a newbie, but I'm not a newbie! I have my smoothie site up and running for 5 years already, on top of Yahoo and MSN search :-(

I think it gets down to one thing.. no matter how good your site is (good design nor quality content), or even if it's on the first page of major search engines, if no one searches for that keyword, you just wasted your time.

Would you blame me? When i researched that keyword, it gets at least a thousad searches a day, that was in 2005. But now, it only gets 10 - 20 searches, sometimes none!!!

Well at least you have read a story who tells how she managed to be a failure despite all the hard work and efforts. Not all stories are successes, well no one would tell the story of their failures, let alone post it on the internet for the whole world to read, right? By the way, I already had 6 sites, combined all the money they're earning me? $0.15 a day!

    Any advice?

Update: Another mistake I'm still committing now is not getting my own domain names for my sites (I know, I know.). I still use the free blogger platform. And one of my worst nightmares happened. My Favorite Blog was Marked as a Spam Blog and was Deleted. Imagine my frustration! I felt like a total Loser (all the hard work... sigh)!

I'm planning now to get a credit card so I can use it to get my very own domain names and hosting services for my 6 blogs including my smoothie site. Hopefully everything will change and turn this story to a success story...

Ramiele Malubay Has the Best Vocal among other American Idol Contestants.

  • Honestly, I personally think that Ramiele Malubay has the best vocal among her fellow american idol contestants. I watched her performance where she sang My life by the Beatles, and I really really like it. I was just confused why Randy and Simon described her performance as boring.
It was not boring and definitely unforgettable. In fact, I find myself searching her performances especially her 'In My life' performance and downloading it, and watching it over and over again.
And she is really cute! I'm a big fan! ;-)!

Log In to Adsense Account through Mobile Phone

  • Thursday, March 13, 2008

  • I was just wondering, can Google make it possible for Google Adsense publishers to log in to their adsense account using their mobile phones?

Guys! Would you like to log in to your google adsense account right through your mobile phones? Would it be much more convenient if we can do that? Well I think it is to me since I'm only using my mobile phone to blog. Lucky for the guys who own a computer and have an internet connection who uses the internet 24/7 at the comfort of their own homes. But what about the people out there who use only their mobile phones when blogging then had to go to the internet cafe to login to Adsense and check their earnings?

I hope it will be possible soon...
